ADVOCACY: Stop Shark Finning

In February 2010, a whale shark was found in Batangas waters wherein all its fins were cut-off. The animal was left floating to die.

Finning is the inhumane practice of hacking off the shark's fins and throwing its still living body back into the sea. Shark fins are harvested because of the growing number of demand for shark fin soup usually served in Asian restaurants.
